Jeffrey B. Milbourn
President & CEO
Mr. Milbourn brings years of leadership and experience in business management to Argosy Wind Power™. Prior to founding Argosy Wind Power™, Mr. Milbourn was with PNC Bank, and previously with National City Bank, as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Corporate Services and Risk Management. In this capacity, he was responsible for a $750,000,000 expense budget that included a $1,000,000,000 real estate portfolio across a nine-state footprint. In addition, Mr. Milbourn also had senior responsibility in acquisition transactions as well as integration processes. Before PNC, Mr. Milbourn had a distinguished career with General Electric Commercial Finance, where he was a Six Sigma Black Belt, Sales & Strategic Partnerships and General Electric Equity Capital Group. In these capacities, his responsibilities included, among other things, developing and leading the largest ever corporate-wide transformation initiative to consolidate eight separate lending operation centers into a single organization. Mr. Milbourn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Milbourn serves several community based organizations in various capacities including as a member of the Board of Directors of Center for Families and Children and as well as on several committees at Hawken School.
Gerard J. Sposato
Executive Vice President – Sales & Marketing, COO
Mr. Sposato, one of the founders of Argosy Wind Power™, brings over 30 years of senior level management experience to the team. He leads our operations as Chief Operating Officer with expertise in strategic planning, new business start-up, marketing, capital asset oversight, cost containment, budgeting/finance, customer service and staff training, supervision and mentoring. Mr. Sposato comes to Argosy Wind Power after serving several years as the President of a community sized wind turbine manufacturer where he successfully implemented the start-up having realized millions of dollars in sales in the first year, developed the strategic business model and the domestic and international markets, oversaw the product design and development and was responsible for all of the sales and marketing and the development of a worldwide dealer/distributor network. Before venturing into the wind turbine industry, Mr. Sposato spent nearly a decade as a senior sales and marketing executive responsible for the re-launch of a $65 million dollar company that was involved in extrusion systems, injection molding machinery, die cast machinery and wind energy contract manufacturing. His accomplishments in this capacity were numerous including – increasing sales in excess of 80% during an 18 month period of time, increasing gross profits over 10% above projections in an 18 month period and spearheading the successful new product launch which generated revenue in excess of $5 Million in just 12 months. In addition to his sales, marketing and operations experience, Mr. Sposato also has years of hands-on engineering experience, having served as the Senior Systems Engineer, Senior Sales Engineer and Applications Engineer for several large manufacturing concerns. Mr. Sposato received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees, from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is a member of American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Wind Power Industry Professionals (WPIP), Global Renewable Energy Network (GREeN) and Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).
John C. Rexford
Senior Vice President of Engineering
With nearly 50 years of advanced engineering experience, Mr. Rexford became a founder of Argosy Wind Power™ after having spent years developing and engineering wind turbines in the community wind industry. Between his engineering expertise and his commitment to excellence, Mr. Rexford provides the foundation of our company’s technology and our engineering values. Prior to entering the community wind turbine industry, Mr. Rexford had an distinguished career as the Director of Product Development and Director of Engineering with a leading worldwide manufacturer involved in various industries including die casting machinery, injection molding, plastic extrusion and downstream manufacturing equipment. No stranger to innovation – he has vast experience in designing and engineering highly complex machines and components as well as in the R&D process. Mr. Rexford received his Degree of Mechanical Engineer – BSME – from the College of Engineering, University of Cincinnati. Committed to the standards of excellence of the engineering profession, Mr. Rexford has served on countless national associations and standards setting committees throughout his career including, the North American Die Casters Association (Chairman – Safety Committee), The Society of the Plastics Industry (Chairman of numerous committees including, Standards All Sections Committee, Injection Section and Standards Development Committee and The North American Standards Institute (ANSI) where he Chaired and/or participated in the writing of numerous national standards. Mr. Rexford also has been published including in texts on machine safety and industry standards.
